Will never own a dyson again with out owning crossfires adaptor. Yes it cost more then on Amazon but it’s the real deal and what you thought you were going to get when ordering the Amazon garbage. I am 100% a real customer and in no way sponsored or was paid to say this. Almost gave up on dyson till took the chance on this product. You will not be disappointed. David and Jenn from Florida.
Way too expensive, more than double the price than other Brands, e.g. Makita/DeWatt
Solid build, works with all my lithium batteries and now last a lot longer on charge...
I love this item!!! It works great, easy to put on and now I can use my drill batteries with no problem!!! I will be ordering another one for my 2nd vacuum.
I purchased the AEG Ridgid 18v Battery Adaptor For Dyson V6 V7 V8 Vacuum Animal Absolute Adapter to use with my Rigid 18V 2ah battery and had the following issues:
-The vacuum only runs for around 10 seconds and then turns off when on Max setting.
-After the vacuum turns off, I have to wait 20-30 seconds before the vacuum will turn on again or I have to remove the battery and then insert it again to get the vacuum to work again, but it only works for another 10 seconds before turning off again.
-Comparatively, when I use the vacuum with the original Dyson battery, I get about 1 and a half minutes of run time on the max setting before the battery runs out.
When I contacted customer support they said that the adapter requires a 4ah battery which is inaccurate when compared to their product listing. After I alerted customer service of this and sent them a screenshot of their own product description (included in this review) which still states that it works with a 2-9ah battery, they stopped responding to me and refused to issue a refund. They have since partly updated their product description under 'key takeaways' to include that it only works with 4ah and up but in the main description it still states that it works with a 2ah battery. Even worse, they deleted my previous 1-star review which indicates that they are actively withholding information from future customers and falsely advertising their product.
